The greens’ worst nightmare
Move over SUVs, loggers, big oil and George W—this may be environmental enemy #1.

The Flip Flap Flu Fleur may look harmless enough as it blooms and moves its leaves in response to music (although the fact that it also glows in the dark—just like Chernobyl—ought to set off alarm bells). And on the surface it seems environmentally benign—solar-powered, 100% recyclable, endearingly little.
But never underestimate the threat of rampant flowerbots. Before long every plant in every home and garden will be uprooted and replaced with gently swaying Flip Flap Flu Fleurs and their kin (such as the equally innocent-looking Flip Flap Rippletone). Result: soaring carbon dioxide levels, destruction of the biosphere, the end of life as we know it.
Moral: Maybe buy just one.
