Judy writes a letter

From Miller’s farewell missive, to be published in Thursday’s Times:

“Though some colleagues disagreed with my decision to testify, for me to have stayed in jail after achieving my conditions would have seemed self-aggrandizing martyrdom or worse, a deliberate effort to obstruct the prosecutor’s inquiry into serious crimes.”

Self-aggrandizing? Perish the thought. Or maybe hold the thought, given Miller’s belief—stated in the letter—that she had “become a lightning rod for public fury over the intelligence failures that helped lead our country to war.”

Um, not really. Just another rogue reporter who should have been “retired” long ago.

UPDATE: The entire letter is now posted on Miller's site.
