Great moments in journalism

Aging hack Steve Dunleavy, who writes for the New York Post, which is owned by Rupert Murdoch, who wants to buy the Wall Street Journal and turn it into the business equivalent of Britain’s Sun, which… oh, never mind, back to Dunleavy. Today he gave the Scientologists’ “New York Rescue Workers Detoxification Project,” which preys on 9/11 survivors, a big wet kiss of endorsement, gushing about how he was “knocked out” by what he saw, and harping on about how “the word Scientology is never mentioned there, no lobbying.”

Of course not.

Dunleavy also mentions the Hollywood stars—“None is a Scientologist”—who have contributed to this particular Scientology scam, including Leah Remini, Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith.

All of whom are Scientologists.
